GPX Version 1.9 Uploaded

Wow. I'd actually forgotten to update the Itch.io version of GPX for literally years.

That doesn't mean that I haven't been working, just that I am incredibly forgetful. I'll try to be a little better about that, but if you're interested I also host Goblin Puncher on my own website, and that is the version that gets the most consistent updates. You can find that at https://stephenkennedy.dev

As for what's new... there's a lot. Let's see:

The first thing you're likely to notice is the new reworked interface. This is designed to work better on whatever device you decide to play on. It's not perfect, but it does a lot more to be fully responsive to your device size. It also gives far more space to the "play area" where you will be reading most actions.

The background images are no longer hosted on Google Drive, so Google will be much happier about that, and they should load faster. They are also larger and have more weather effects.

The game will remind you of the stats of the weapons you are currently carrying when it gives you the option to pick up a dropped weapon, just to make it easier to make the decision.

The slurring accent isn't permanently on for all Questing Quarry npcs.

There is now a more eye catching visual cue when your health is low. Should make it easier to notice when you're about to die.

A big change on the back end, which I care more about than any players will, is that I have now separated the project out into multiple files and folders, so it isn't all editing one huge .html file anymore. Which makes the code easier to manage and maintain.

And honestly, I don't know how many other changes there are. I last updated this version about 3 years ago. Since then I got a job as a professional web developer and have been coming back to this and trying to refactor old code into something more manageable, and something I can continue to tinker with for kicks and giggles. I haven't been keeping track of changes as well as I probably should have, but here we are.

I hope you enjoy the changes, and feel free to leave me some feedback.
